What Should I Do With My Nokia N810?

So I finally bit the bullet and bought a Nokia N810. As much as I would like to hold out until Nokia puts a phone into this device I just couldn't wait any longer. It should arrive at my doorstep tomorrow.

Now the only question is ... what should I do with it. So far I know I need to get my Verizon Wireless broadband USB dongle working on it. I also would like to optimize my video trancoding routines to get nice clean crisp video. And of course get the GPS working.

What else should I do with it? Should I upgrade the OS to the latest and greatest Maemo version? What applications should I try to get running? Any suggestions?

I will blog more after I get the device up and running.

Suggestions for your Nokia

I've got a Nokia 800 and some of the things I put onto it were Apache, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Wordpress and Real player. Search Google about taking the "nokia red pill". It opens up all kinds of options. Enjoy!

Kevin, Thanks for the tip.

Kevin,

Thanks for the tip. The "Red-Pill" is a must for anyone looking to do some hacking on this device.
