Testing TwitterFeed

These social networks are getting out of control. I am testing out twitterfeed to see if it will update my Facebook and Twitter pages at the same time when I write a new blog post on any of my blogs. I am doing this by pointing twitterfeed to another service that I use called Ping.fm. Ping.fm is a proxy that allows you to update multiple services at the same time. This is great because I have no idea what the next big thing will be or when it will become important enough for me to use. If a new cool service pops up out of nowhere I can just add it to my list of services to update via Ping.fm. Unfortunately, Ping.fm doesn't have a direct input from RSS feeds at this time. That means that my blog posts don't get sent out as a status update or tweet. So, I have to use a proxy to the proxy: a la twitterfeed. If this post shows up on Facebook and Twitter in the next hour or so then I will call this test a success. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Social Networks.

I refuse to use them. Social Networks are killing off the internet as a place for true individual content. People's blogs and other webpage realms are hardly getting any traffic or interaction. ...and Social Networks aren't going to help this one bit into the future.

I happen to be here because I have an interest in Linux and your podcast, which was on a list at http://thelinuxlink.net/

The only good Social Network Instance is one that directs you back tot he person's own content!
