Firefox 2.0 Upgrade: Holy Crap That Was Easy

I just upgraded Firefox on my laptop running Ubuntu and it couldn't have been easier. Just make sure you are connected to the internet and run an upgrade script from this page at everythingelse.wordpress.com. I just ran the script, restarted the browser and BAM Firefox 2.0 was up and running with no problems. I highly recommend this method if you are running Ubuntu and don't want to think about it too much.  read more »

The Bubbles Are Gone!

I am checking out FC6 preview release today and all I can say is I am so glad they got rid of the bubbles. The new theme for FC6 rocks! So far everything is very fast and no installation problems. I will save the rest for an upcoming review. Here is a screenshot of the desktop.  read more »

How To Capture High Resolution Screen Shots In Linux

Have you ever needed to capture a screen shot of something in Linux and 72dpi was not high enough resolution. I recently found myself in this situation trying to capture some images of the great screen savers that come with most Linux distributions. LG the V: Watching video on the LG VX9800

I have been wanting a new cell phone for a while now. My old Sony Ericsson T610 was a great phone and did everything I needed, but it lacked a music/video player and the connections were wearing out. First I went to the Sprint store to see what they had. I tried the new LG Fusic which was awesome (includes GPS navigation) except there was no way for me to get my calendar synced with it. I took it back and tried the Samsung A920. Another cool phone with stereo speakers, but again no calendar sync.  read more »
